Starting your virtual assistant business is “oh boy” hard work, but it’s also great fun.
Before you do anything, you need to sit a moment and think about WHY you want to be a virtual assistant. By getting clear on WHY you want to start a virtual assistant business and then referring to this WHY when things get tough will help get back on track when you feel like giving up.
YES, you are going to feel like giving up at least once a week while you are building your business and marketing your services.
It’s not easy; I won’t lie. It takes an enormous about of hard work, dedication & commitment to build & grow your virtual assistant business. You will need to take action every single day.
When I started my VA business, I could not find real solid advice and information. All I could find was a lot of fluff and vague answers. After struggling for a year figuring things out along the way, best practices, do’s & don’ts, templates, and ways to do things I finally mastered the art of running a successful VA business. This is what sparked me to write down everything I learned during the past two years, create training materials, resources and courses from it and share it with new & aspiring VA’s so that they have real hard solutions for their problems. I created a Facebook community where they can find answers for their questions and have a place where they can feel supported.
Ok, now it’s your turn. Why do you want to be a virtual assistant? Why do you want to be a business owner?
Ask yourself these questions:
- Do you want to have a flexible schedule? (Perhaps you are a stay at home mom with school runs & after school activities)
- Do you want to supplement your household income?
- Do you want to feel accomplished?
- Do you want to meet new people and help them solve the problems in their business?
- Do you want to be your boss?
- Do you want to work hard for yourself instead of someone else?
- Do you want to wear what you want when you want?
I’d love to hear your WHY! There’s nothing more satisfying than reading about what motivated others to start their VA business. Do me a favor and share your WHY in the comments.
