As a new virtual assistant, it’s easy to ignore boundaries and push yourself beyond your limits.
Not only are you new to the industry, but you also want to make connections with other VA’s & prospective clients and learn as much as possible about the VA industry.
When we talk about knowing your limits we refer to setting healthy boundaries for yourself & others and knowing when it’s time to close the computer and step away from your desk.
Knowing when to say “no” is important for any virtual assistant. We can fall into the people-pleasing trap very easily because we want to do our best to help & impress others.
The other day we spoke about burnout in the Facebook Community and what a terrible thing it is. If you missed the video, you can watch it here.
By setting clear boundaries and enforcing them you are not only saving yourself from burnout, you are also saving your business by ensuring you have a sustainable business model.
So many VA’s throw in the towel when they feel that their personal life & family is suffering, but it doesn’t have to be this way. You simply need to know when enough is enough.
You might have heard this quote before and not really paid much attention to it, but it is such a powerful message for business owners.
“If you get tired learn to rest, not quit.” – Banksy ”.
To help you focus on managing your time and to maximize your productivity without pushing yourself to the limit, follow these 5 tips:
